Notes on the strange biology already inside us.

The reading list, with a few pencilled starting points

The calf-thymus paper gives me a place to begin; the clinical trials show how far some of the later claims travelled.

Start where the story caught

The calf-thymus isolation and sequence paper is the origin document I enjoy most. For the strangest cellular journey, the MOTS-c nuclear-translocation experiments. For the repair mechanism, the BPC-157 vessel-growth study shows what the researchers actually tested.

The clinical turns have different starting points: TESTS for sepsis survival, the two-person BPC-157 safety pilot and SURMOUNT-1 for weight change in a large human trial. The tirzepatide safety meta-analysis belongs next to the efficacy reports, not after them as an afterthought.

The full list follows. It includes original experiments, trials, reviews and a clinical-reference chapter. Each paper establishes only what its own findings support about that peptide.
